The LG Stylo 5 has officially released on almost every carrier (and released an unlocked version too)
Good news! The LG Stylo 5 has released on nearly every single wireless carrier!
A few weeks ago, we came out with an LG Stylo 5 review, and at that time, the phone was only released on Cricket and Metro by T-Mobile. Shortly after our review, the LG Stylo 5 released for Sprint and T-Mobile. It took a few more weeks, but now the phone has finally released an unlocked version and a Verizon version.
The unlocked version does cost a little more and currently retails at $299. If you activate the phone with a carrier at Best Buy, you can typically get a $50 discount, just keep in mind that your carrier may charge you an activation fee if you activate your phone this way.
Who should buy the Stylo 5?
The Stylo 5 is trying to fit a unique niche in cell phones. The Samsung Galaxy Note series is really the only well known smartphone with a stylus, and as we can see with the current Galaxy Note, it isn’t very cheap to get a phone with a stylus.
That’s where the LG Stylo 5 steps in. Most carriers retail the LG Stylo 5 between $200 and $250, which makes it a good option for people that want a large screen.
The Stylo 5 is great for someone that wants a large, big, and bright display. The Stylo 5 is also great for people who want to use a stylus for writing notes. If you want the best of the best, you can simply buy the Galaxy Note 10, but if you want a good display and a stylus for a cheap price, the LG Stylo 5 is the way to go.
LG Stylo 5 Specs
The Stylo 5 has an HD display with 2160 x 1080 resolution, a Snapdragon 450 processor, 3 GB of RAM, and a 3,500 mAh battery.
You will get a great display, a large screen, and pretty decent battery life. This phone is a little slower than phones that retail around $300, so if you want a faster phone and you don’t care quite as much about your display size, the Moto G7 is a good option for you.
