Every year I get excited when the LG Stylo releases. I am not an artist and I don’t enjoy drawing, but for some reason, a cheap phone with a built-in stylus always excites me.
The LG Stylo 3 Plus was okay, and the LG Stylo 4 was so close to great, so this year I have been eagerly awaiting the LG Stylo 5. All I want is a good mid-range phone with good size and a stylus. The LG Stylo 4 was good, but I have been hoping for a Stylo with a slightly better processor than the Snapdragon 450, and I have been hoping to find a version of the Stylo with 4 GB of RAM.
Well I just read the specs of the Stylo 5 today, and I am very disappointed. Essentially, the Stylo 5, is pretty much the exact same phone as the Stylo 4, with a newer operating system.
The LG Stylo 5 specifications are:
- Display: 6.2″ with 1080 x 2160 resolution (Same as Stylo 4)
- Processor: Snapdragon 450 (same as Stylo 4)
- GPU: Adreno 506 (same as Stylo 4)
- RAM: 3GB (Same as Stylo 4)
- Screen-to-body ratio: 79.76% (the Stylo 4 screen-to-body ratio is 79.63%
- Camera: 13 megapixel rear camera (from what I’ve heard, the same as the Stylo 4)
- Battery: 3500 mAh (200 mAh better than the Stylo 4)
Essentially, this phone is an LG Stylo 4 with slightly better battery life. Everything else is pretty much the same.
Let’s hope the unlocked version has some different specs! Maybe it will have more RAM or a different processor. When the new unlocked version launches, we will have the news covered!
