The Galaxy S10 is on sale for $300 off at Best Buy. Normally, the S10 is a $900 phone for a good reason. It comes with an amazing display, an in-screen fingerprint reader, a great camera, and it currently has the fastest processor on the market. It scores very well on battery tests at GSM Arena, at least compared to other flagship phones like the Google Pixel 3, so if you are looking for a great smartphone for around $600, this is it!
You have two options:
- You can purchase the unlocked version and activate it with your carrier immediately for $600 (may be subject to an activation fee).
- You can simply purchase the phone via monthly payments with your carrier for $600. On one hand, if you get the phone via monthly payments through Best Buy.
If you buy the phone with monthly payments through your carrier, you will be getting a phone that is locked to that carrier (essentially, the phone won’t be usable on most other carriers). There are ways to get phones unlocked to move to other carriers, but a big benefit of an unlocked phone is that you can buy it outright and have the flexibility to move to other carriers.
On the other hand, one benefit of getting a carrier-locked version is that it may have better compatibility with some carrier features like Wifi-calling, and if you are wanting some financial flexibility, spreading a phone out on your bill is a nice way to get a good deal while still spreading out the cost.
